forty onehad dinner with some old friends. since dinner was not interrupted by invading aliens in gigantic spaceships (only very tiny, inconsequential ships were used, and we hardly noticed - we probably ate several of them by mistake), there isn't much to report. we did have indian food though, and it was very good. everyone ordered different things and shared. my favorite was the goat vindaloo. it really was, even though i would definitely go out of my way to type "goat vindaloo". it is important though to have massive quantities of water on hand when eating goat vindaloo.
goat vindaloo!
so anyway, i'm forty one now. :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY dudeness! Now ur gonna hafta join us at La Ideal on Wed this week and let me buy you a bday cafe and sandwich! 'course it won't be as intriguing as goat vindaloo (btw, when eating vindaloo, I find that having some rice, naan, and/or beer helps manage the fire much better than water ;-)
Cheers!

Happy Birthday, John!
I agree with Joe but I'd also recommend lassi or just plain yoghurt to accompany hot food.

Happy birthday!
I agree with Joe...but everything goes with beer.
The goat vindaloo reminds me that I haven't been to a non-vegetarian indian restaurant in a while. Definitely need to take care of that.
